i think i am in a current state of mind where nothing seems to matter much. everythings just whirring by and here i am, completely clean of thoughts. i feel like a puppet willingly subjecting myself to be controlled by strong plastic strings. this feels kind of funny.

all emotions have left me. and all i can seem to say to everyone is. ok. theres this crazy nagging feeling that something is wrong somewhere. but ive checked. everthing seems. ok.

i miss yoda

i know that it wouldnt have made much difference even if yoda was still alive because i wont get to see yoda who would be halfway across the globe anyways.
but knowing that yoda and me do not walk on the same earth anymore breaks me.
that and knowing that she wont be around when i get back to malaysia.

i want yoda back.
i need her to sit on my feet, purring and listening carefully to whatever i need to tell her.

today was the first rehearsal for 'The University of Bristol Barbershop Singers'. (TUBBS)
our first rehearsal and we already got the news that we're booked for a gig sometime in december and that we'll be on the radio once we get everything together and are able to record something. yipee.. haha but i think its only because one of our tenors is a dj of some radio prog or summat.

im singing 2nd soprano by the way. which is brilliant because most of the time we get to sing the melodies. which to me means that i dont have to wreck my brain trying to harmonize when there are 6 different tones floating around. neither do i have to sing too high or too low.

i think its pretty amazing how low a guys voice can go. one of them reminded me of my double bass days. seriously, he didnt even sound human!

ive stopped myself from blogging about this for a few days now but i cannot stand it any longer.
stopped myself because i thought its no use complaining. well, i still think its no use, but heck, i put this blog up so that people could catch up with me, know how and what im doing without having to call me up everyday or whatever. and so i am going to tell you how im doing.

the royal mail went on strike, and so my post (ie the umbrella i bought off ebay) has not arrived. dont ask me why i bought an umbrella off ebay.. not having and umbrella over here is.. suicidal.

yesterday, me and nic decided to walk to town after lectures. when we started out journey all was well, it was just a wee bit chilly. aand then, it started pouring like crazy, not even uk normal rain but moonsoon-like rain in cold weather!. and because of said problem, we had one small umbrella to share between us. outcome?.. me, soaked thru on my right side and nic on her left. we looked like 2 walking talking half morons.

here's the best part.. 30 seconds away from our destination....

ohmygod.
i was browsing through lv's site and i wanted everything i couldnt afford on my own.
now im glad that class is starting.
coz then, i wouldnt have time to browse aimlessly through the net and drool over things i cant buy

right now: antigua, noe,ode,soupcon rond, err and all the key rings.

anyways, my four month long holiday has officially ended. today i start my 2nd year of law and i have a feeling its gonna be hell. buuut, im kinda prepared for hell.

so hell, watch out coz soraya's gonna freeze you over.

-no more weeknight parties in london (i study in bristol if you dont already know)
-london trip at most twice in 3 months (err but ill get back to you on this). ok maybe once a month. fair right? and i will only go on weekends and thats only if i have or will be able to get my work done.
-no more nutshells and nutcases!.
-commit to one society only.. and that will be the university of bristol barbershop singers. we will only meet once a week anyways i think, so i think thats fine.
- no more empty promises . so ill stop here. haha.

my home cooked meal

the meal that nick decided was full of nutritional values.

rice:- leftover rice from yesterday, still square from shape of container

chicken:- bought from quigleys

veg:- cauliflower and broccoli florets, baby carrots. all packed to my convenience by sainsburys. microwaved to perfection

sambal- pretty darn good i must say. all the way from malaysia. thank you a.gayah! haha

potato au gratin:- french fries drenched in bottled pasta sauce topped with pre-grated mozzarella. again, microwaved to perfection.

nicole is asking me how i slept and if everything is okay. we still keep to our old msn habits when in actual fact, she is in the room next to mine. we're housemates now!. haha. yesterday when i wanted to tell her something, all i did was bang on the wall that separates us. :). now shes asking me if i can hear her hairdryer whilst im asking her if she can hear my loud music.. kinda explains what kinda people we are.

joey lives in the same building as me too . he came over late last night to sample some kuih raya and have sambal ikan bilis. i soo have a gossip buddy in my building now!.

it only takes me a 5-10 minute walk to get to uni. it used to take me a 45 minute walk.

i have tonnes of kuih raya and lots of people to help me finish them!
