if you just let it
heres a story about a girl who did not know how to cycle
the life and times of teong soo zanne.
we planned it for one early thursday morning, and when sz arrived at my place in rolled up high wasted pants, moccasins and chanel, i knew that i had successfully misrepresented the cycling track at bukit cerakah. clearly, she was expecting miami boulevard.
we started off in high spirits however, with sz opting for a low bike so that she wouldnt fall (hmmph, funny how that worked out)
yameen was of course, the ever patient teacher who kept encouraging soozanne not to give up
whilst i just told her to walk alongside her bike, because this way she would be much much faster
as you can see, my statement held true.
mahfudz came to join us, tho he had to keep cycling the track back and forth and take a couple of ciggarette breaks just to 'keep up' with our pace.
what we saw next, won me a flurry of incomprehensible swear words with sz insisting that she was about to die
sad thing is, i dont think she was exaggerating at all
but to be fair, the pictures dont do this part of the track justice. even to the rest of us, it did seem rather steep and did in fact tire us out a little.
our friend sz however, knows exercise as getting up from bed and switching on the tele. so im sure u can imagine the state she was in
i know it doesnt look like much, but this was after we had already cycled quite a fair bit and the place was full of inclined roads.
and we made it out in good time. nobody was more proud of sz than herself, of course.
