forget our restless destination

so theres this new performing arts cafe in desa sri hartamas called 'lepaq cafe'

the first time i caught wind of it was when fachry told me that his band (eleanor) and him would be performing there every saturday of august. he told me that i should check it out even if i couldnt make it to any of their saturday shows as he thought that i would really like the whole feel of the place.

but being a good friend of course lah i would want to watch them play, so even though i had amys birthday dinner to attend last saturday, i managed to get there just in time for their set which was at 11.







and he was spot on. i absolutely love the place!. im not trying to take a shot at a lame play of words but the best way to describe lepaq cafe would be that its very very lepak-able.
the usual lah, dim lights, sofas, cushions, carpets.

we were actually sitting at a table with low stools but vegamal decided we should do without and sit on the carpet instead. so we called the waiter to take away the table and all our chairs. upon seeing this, the dj/soundguy came over and told us that this was exactly the kind of concept they were looking for.

if you really know me, ud know that im the kind of person who feels much more at ease sitting cross legged on the floor with cushions and eating with my hands. i really enjoyed the place, plus fachrys old schoolmate who was visiting him fr jakarta decided to be nice and belanja everyone. so it was all good. heh

another thing i liked about the place was that i didnt feel like i had to go there looking my best like most other well known places people frequent to nowadays for gigs. i didnt feel the need to be overly sociable and conscious about what i was wearing/ saying. can just lepak lah. heh.

i liked it so much im heading over again in another 30 minutes or so. heheh.
well that, and also because eleanor is paying tribute to maliq & d'essentials tonight, besides playing their own songs of course (last week was incubus).
